Before you ever open a gate be sure you go to the trainer at Mt Killjoy for the demon slayer quest. The quest must be done as follows:
1. open 3 key gates
2. return to trainer
3. open 1 orb gate
4. return to trainer to receive demon ring
Any player level 51+ is able to open and/or fight in the demon gates. Demon gates are fought by the whole guild once they are open. Each gate is made up of two parts. First there are 99 demons that must be killed, then the demon boss must be defeated. The boss is very strong and will kill you often until you are at or close to boss’s level with 120 con.
Key Gates:
can be opened in the following ways:
1. Finding a key from a chest or mystery box (if you are lucky)
2. Paying 666,666,666 coins (most common way)
3. Spending 6 Gems (not recommended)
Rewards:
Demons inside the gate may drop demon items (lv 56-60) and orbs. After boss is defeated he will drop demon items to owner and top five damagers all others will get coins based on damage. All experience will be given when boss is defeated. All participants will get a message on the home screen in case they are not online to claim the reward. Item drops are as follows:
player that opened the gate will receive a level 60 item even if he does no damage
the player (other than above) that dealt most damage to the boss will receive a level 60 item
the next 4 players (other than above) that dealt most damage to the boss will receive a level 59-56 items according to their damage amounts
players that do not receive items will be rewarded coins based on the amount of damage dealt
Orb Gates:
Orb gates are opened by finding orbs from a mystery box or as a drop from any level demon after you reach level 54. Orb gates work just as Key gates, but have stronger demons and bosses.
Rewards:
Demons inside the orb gate may drop demon items (lv 56-60) and orbs. After boss is defeated he will drop greater demon items to owner and top five damagers all others will get coins based on damage. All experience will be given when boss is defeated. All participants will get a message on the home screen in case they are not online to claim the reward. Item drops are as follows:
player that opened the gate will receive a level 64 item and Demon Wings ally even if player does no damage
the player (other than above) that dealt most damage to the boss will receive a level 64 item
the next 4 players (other than above) that dealt most damage to the boss will receive a level 63-60 items according to their damage amounts
players that do not receive items will be rewarded coins based on the amount of damage dealt
A few tips:
1. Bank your money or buy Con with it before you fight the boss
2. Be sure you have plenty of dust and the ability to heal
3. Be ready to use guard and shield skills for demons
4. guard, shield, and aim skills do not work on bosses
5. Magic user should change class to Champion or Jester for extra block against boss
6. Gun users should change class to Conqueror or Jester for extra block against boss
